It'd be nice if Woodbury can show the offensive game he had tonight a bunch next year. He showed some post moves that he hasn't really shown against non-cupcakes. I think Marble had some moments where he could be black hole but then again, he showed an ability to create his own shot that no one else on the team has shown. I could easily see them being the same type of team they've been the past two seasons. Solid non-conference, .500 in conference and a bubble team.

Fitting way to end the season. I wonder if there's a way to practice winning close games in the off season.

Man that was really the last one? It's a really weird scenario for Iowa fans. On one hand its very deflating to fall short of high preseason expectations, the way they ended the season is just miserable, and the fact that your big return to the tourney is a play-in game when you've been a lock for weeks is a bit depressing. But on the other hand, there were some pretty bad years for Iowa, and this is much much better than those years, and then you factor in McCaffery's kid and the hope that if Iowa can somehow wake up they definitely have S16/E8 talent and can make a run. It sure was. Haven't won a game in it since 2001. Emotionally, the losing streak helps me out going into the tournament. Now I have no expectations but at the same time I know this team can turn on the light switch and make a run. Makes it so I'm excited but I'm still not experiencing crippling fear, which is nice.

I'm extremely excited for the Iowa game tonight. More than I thought I'd be considering there hasn't been much reason for excitement lately and it's the play-in game but it's been a while since we've played in any NCAA tournament game and the last one they played in was that stupid Northwestern State game.

I'm not seeing how BYU is ahead of Iowa unless the committee was considering the last 10 (even though they claim they don't anymore) I'm not going to complain too much though. They're lucky they're in with the way they finished the year.

I'm still going to be nervous tonight despite what pretty much everyone is saying. I'll take Dayton after the shitfest of last month. After Iowa beat Michigan I claimed Iowa was a "solid 11 seed." THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A JOKE!

According to Lunardi's site at least, even with the 4 extra teams Iowa would be pretty cleanly in as they aren't even among the first four byes.

I really hope this is enough to put us in. I don't have a lot of confidence that Iowa will beat Illinois of course the way the Big Ten has been this year they'll beat Michigan State on the road then lose to Illinois.

Two games after blowing out Michigan Iowa started a three game losing streak and is now struggling at home vs Purdue. What the hell happened to this team?

I don't see any way that Rose's injury could have been avoided and that's the important one (duh). I think some fans want to blame something when really, bad things happens some times for no real reason.

At least it will probably take home losses to both Purdue and Illinois for Iowa to miss the tournament.

I don't like it. If Buster Posey's leg didn't collapse, this isn't an issue. Being able to run over the catcher in the first place didn't really make sense to me. It's not like you can run over a player on the other bases.

Seeing that and then seeing no ref or anything care just makes me angry (I didn't watch the game but I assume he got no technical because it's Izzo)
