    Can the Astros pass the Brewers before the end of the day Thursday? Meaning if we sweep and the Astros sweep, would we still clinch or do we need the Astros to lose at least one of the next 3 games? If the Astros sweep and so do we, the magic number will be 1. But I don't see that happening. EDIT: But that's interesting and I never thought about it... wow have the Brewers collapsed. I know the Astros are on a tear, but jeez.

    No way, man. I love listening to Santo. I would love for him and Pat to switch places with Len & Bob. He adds nothing to the broadcast at all except garbled noises. Also, he distracts me from the game with his terrible UH and UMs stories and I lose track on what is happening in the game. He is a great Cubs fan and I don't dislike him as a person or player at all, but the guy is the worst announcer on the face of the earth and I can't stand him.

    I like Lang a lot and he's going to do another team a lot of good. Getting the draft pick is a huge plus because it's not like the Hawks are going to win the Cup THIS YEAR. Khabi won't be on the team next year and I think we might have some extra cap room to sign a better center? I haven't looked at the payroll much.

    For the person who asked about the magic number... It is currently at 6. It is ONLY the sum of Cubs Wins+Brewers Losses that cab affect the magic number at all. If the Cubs win, it goes down by 2 (because it will be a Cubs win and a Brewers loss). If the Brewers win, it is neither... therefore the magic # stays the same...
