He also claimed in one tweet that he didn't expect it to be announced for a bit because the draft had started. While I certainly get that for the first night, I can't fathom days 2 and 3 preventing a trade announcement.
Carl's replies on Twitter state that it was a TRADE that he says was completed last night and will be announced today and that the Soriano signing had no bearing on it.

Son of a... He has been playing all over the OF, my apologies for the typo. Without a laptop for the next week or so. Such is the danger of relying on an iPad. For those curious, he's at 13 games in LF, 4 in CF and 25 in RF (and 8 as DH).
I agree with Truffle. I get why this could hurt his trade value a bit, and it certainly would have been nice to have a chance to show improvement at the major league level, but it's not a serious injury. Teams almost certainly already have a clear idea of what they're getting there.
