  1. Really enjoying Rip these days.
  2. Baez has been slumping a bit down in EXST. 0-5 with 3 K's today. Penelaver had a nice afternoon at 3-5
  3. Damn, Jensen. Really liking what he's done in Peoria so far.
  4. So going by Maholm's previous starts, they should be sitting pretty if they can get two more runs.
  5. Clearly Byrd was the problem with the offense.
  6. I've come to the conclusion that either Gameday is drunk or umpires are just horrible this year.
  7. Well Billy Beane did get that guy to pay for the soda machines that one time.
  8. I wonder who replaces Campana in AAA...
  9. Sounds like Not-Bowden and a prospect. Bowden is right-handed Muwahahahaha ninja-edited
  10. Nothing new really, but here's Rotoworld weighing in:
  11. The most important question here: Who will write the player blog for the Cubs now?
  12. I don't buy much into the "buy high/sell low" idea, as if the other teams don't know about BABIP and regression to the mean. But it's still odd timing. Makes sense to me. Boston very much has a need and it wasn't going to be there forever. It's the system Hoyer and Theo are most familiar with (as they freaking made it) and a front office they're presumably on good terms with. Given Byrd's history, I don't think his slow start hurt his trade value that much.
  13. He's in Peoria doing quite well for himself. 11 IP, 1 BB 9 K 0.971 WHIP. Nice! and thanks!
  14. Random Question: Where is Kyler Burke these days?
  15. Rizzo apparently can't handle Mike Parisi. 2 K's so far.
  16. Vitters with walk number 4 on the season.
  17. Hell, the boy is even above the Mendoza line.
  18. Speaking of starting pitching, just wanted to note how solid the pitching was in AA and A+ Brooks Raley: 6 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 7-3 GO-FO (Note: He did this on 65 pitches and was removed for a pinch hitter in a run scoring situation) Austin Kirk: 7 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 4-5 GO-FO EDIT: sonofa... Also, from listening to the radio feed, it sounded like the defense kinda let Raley down the inning he gave up the 2 runs.
  19. Torreyes now 2-2 with a 2B, 3B and BB
