  6. I refreshed and the stream is working but it's just static.
  7. Sorry, I forgot to mention that the pic is a headshot. The shirt has a high neck collar making the logo very prominent on the cover.
  8. Speaking of Under Armor, I just got my new Cubs schedule in the mail. It features a photo of Soriano in Cubs pinstripes, cap, and a blue Under Armor shirt. It's like a built-in ad on the cover. I bet it helped to pay for the printing...
  9. I read that Soriano has an endorsement contract with Under Armor. The company may do well to supply the Minor League guys but a number of the regulars have their own contracts. i.e. Barrett only wears Wilson.
  10. He doesn't look smaller to me at all. Check the pics from yesterday's game here.
  11. I noticed the gloves immediately. lol, I wonder if Sori gave them to him or if he bought them to be more like his BFF. :D
  12. Laura, IIRC, Sullivan did mention that he thought Prior was holding back. If he's been throwing faster than that in practice then I'm not worried. I thought -- though I'm certainly not sure -- that I had heard Prior was popping the gun for 92-ish in practice. If that is the case, why in the world would he go all out in practice then hold back in a game? Doesn't make much sense. I hadn't read that Prior was hitting 92mph in practice but he does admit that he was throwing better in BP than he took to the mound yesterday. His quotes lead me to believe that he was nervous and or hesitant about facing opposing hitters for the first time in a while: Link

  14. Wow, I just saw the replay. Lou is incredibly passionate about baseball. I have no doubt that he will do what he can to get the team to perform at a high standard. At this point, I'd be surprised if he didn't.
  15. I agree with you from the standpoint of keeping him in the bullpen. He still has a very violent pitching motion. My hope is that bullpen work will allow him to limit his pitches per outing thus reducing overall wear and tear on his arm. Also, I think working a maximum of 2 innings per appearance will go along way in helping him stay true with his mechanics. The average starter reaches somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 pitches per outing. Depending on pitch count per outing, Kerry could possibly make 4-5 bullpen appearances per week without reaching 100 pitches. Of course, his number of appearances will be dictated by his ability to bounce back between outings (but you get the idea).

  17. Yes, I believe so but I am a subscriber. I am always signed into the account so when I click on the links I'm not prompted to enter a username and password. You can try clicking on the webcast link here.
  18. Welcome to the board! Wood has been much better than average and 14 wins is his highest single season total. However, wins and losses don't tell the whole story... If he is indeed healthy, I'd like for him to develop into the primary setup man or closer.
  19. I wasn't really sure so clicked on an archived webcast (LAD vs BOS) from earlier today. The webcast sounds like any other audio-only game but apparently it was only being broadcast via the web. FYI, it is Dodgers' radio so there may have been a scheduling conflict that prevented it from being broadcasted in the team's local area.
  20. thank god someone said it Give him a break, he's a newbie. A newbie with a really high post count I might add. LOL, I like to post... Thanks for the support but newbie or not it was incorrect. The mistake was really nothing more than a lack of proof reading; my mom is an English professor, and she taught me to write, but sometimes I get lazy.
