    I doubt Theriot will be the starter initally but he will get his looks. It was reported in today's papers that sees Piniella sees Ryan as the super INF sub. They plan to play him at 2B, 2B, and SS. If Izturis is injured or more ineffective than usual offensively, I think Theriot could get some starts.

    Wasn't it something insane like 3/34? 3/34.5 I think. That is absolutely horrible. It's in-line with what's been going on in MLB. Teams are paying for IP more than anything else. Vasquez is probably good for about 200 average innings a year. I think he compares favorably to some guys who got more than him. Yeah, I don't see how it's any different from the contracts that guys like Meche and Lilly got. I agree completely but it's funny considering the Sox have been yapping all offseason about how bad those contracts were...
