I expected the Cubs to go 3-3 against the Mariners and Padres, and I guess I am satisfied with that with a stretch of really easy schedule coming up. These are two good teams, especially the Padres, and splitting the two series isn't bad. What I wasn't expecting was for the Brewers to magically break out of their slump to beat two solid ALC teams. I thought we were at least going to stay even with them. Other than Verlander, they faced really bad pitchers. They should have swept the Twins but Suppan got out pitched by, essentially, a AA guy.
