    Poor word choice by me. I'm not just worried because I don't expect a sweep, I'm worried because I don't expect a series win. What I meant is that I'm almost willing to guarantee we won't get a sweep.

    Pudge >>>Barrett in '04 and we win the WC running away. To me, this was a critical move based on Barrett's awful D. We found an absolute bargain in Michael Barrett. Would you want to be paying Pudge's contract at this point? I certainly wouldn't. We're getting a lot more bang for our buck with Michael, and I have no problem with that.

    I think broken down is far too harsh. However, if there's no chance of resigning him the Cubs absolutely have to move him whether we're in contention or not. A deal with the Mets involving Milledge and Heilman sounds interesting.

    I'd love to see them honor that bet. And to echo what a few others have already said, this series scares me. The Pirates have a couple of decent pitchers going and we have had trouble with two of them. I'm hoping things go well, but to be honest, I don't expect a sweep. This is certainly a series we have to win though.
