  1. In what parallel universe are the Angels in the NL? I think he meant AL.
  2. Looked like Bradley was limping. Time to DL him and bring up the savior, Jake Fox.
  3. Good call, Jimmy The Geek. if i can reverse jinx em so much the better still no way we score some runs I see what you did there.
  4. Should Cobs be spelled with a 0 instead of an o in honor of the lack of offense?
  5. We probably should have went with Adam Dunn. I honestly would have loved it then be angry every time he K's, which is approx. 200 times a year still adam dunn is so lovable, dunno how you can hate the guy Bradley is K-ing a ton too. Only when he's not grounding out weakly to the right side of the infield.
  6. It'd be nice if Bradley starts earning his paycheck one of these days.
  7. This dude needs to start earning his paycheck NOW!
  8. Very disappointing loss last night.
  9. I am intrigued with the thought of Aramis moving to 1B.
  10. Didn't ESPN.com run an article the other day about MLB teams using the DL creatively to keep from having to released high priced players that haven't been living up to their contract? We could do that for Patton if they're so worried about losing him. There's a minimum # of days he has to be on the active roster in order to be able to send him down next year. If memory serves, it's all of them. Basically, any time he spends on the DL this year, he would have to make up on the active roster next year before we would be able to send him down. If you trust Wikipedia as a source, it's only 90 days.

  12. How many 19 year old position prospects, playing in class A for the Cubs, have put up the type of numbers Vitters is putting up? I'm more concerned with bettering our chances of winning the World Series this year than having a good third baseman 2-3 years from now. I realize it's a risk, but to me it's a smart risk. It's not like we're getting Ernie Broglio in return.
  13. How many can't miss prospects have the Cubs held on to instead of trading that have turned out to be complete busts? I'll take a proven major league player over a low level prospect any day of the week. Especially when the major league player is a dominant pitcher.
  14. You should get that checked out. Searchiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing...SEEK AND DESTROY!  Your dancing avatar went perfectly with your post. That kid is dancing on the grave of Jack Buck.

  16. If he was free, he'd already be a Cub.
