I guess my thought on O-lineman are you draft them early, middle and late until the positions are solid, and then you stock pile. It might be abit Parcellian, but this last year royally proved the point. If Beekman can step up, fine, but I dont want to wait for anyone, I would rather have a few to compete. Minnie, I heard that they wanted pitt guard mike mcglynn but he was taken a pick before us. they thought that chester adams had a 4th round grade and expect him to make the team. I just wanted bodies, and I think every lineman will make the team. oh and by the way.... i love that the bears didnt pick a qb absolutely love it. i hate espn, sports illustrated who i believe started the rex grossman hate fest, and jay marriotti. none of the qbs except for matt ryan or ready to play right away. now i love the forte pick and earl bennett was perfect, I love marcus monk, he is exactly the type of player that comes in and makes a difference. every pick was made for value and helped a need (forte was a tad bit of reach). great draft.

the bears essentially got Mendenhall in Forte. Forte has more mileage, but didnt cost them alot in picks as would have Mendenhall. Unfortunately, they Bears need much more then RB I don't think Forte is quite as good as Mendenhall. But Mendenhall doesn't have the track record that Forte has...Both have pros and cons. HAHAHA are you serious? Lets compare cometition, and stats. Conference USA vs Big Ten? Seriously Forte is not in the same league as Mendenhall. Forte was all Tulane had. he caried that team for 3 years. Mendenhall came on and did his thing for one year against good competition. to say he is in a dif league is abit of a stretch I like mendenhall but only an illinois fan places that much stock in mendenhall who couldnt beat out pierre thomas.

What don't you like? I think it's been a fine draft so far. I would've preferred Albert over Williams in the first and a WR like Sweed over a RB in the 2nd, but Williams is a fine pick and Forte sounds pretty damn good, as does Bennett. The DT provides some nice depth for if/when Tommie and Dusty get hurt. Bowman is a solid CB, and I really like the Safety pick because it will probably help keep Archuleta off the field. I wish we would get a Guard, and I would've liked Johnson, but I'm hoping now we don't take a QB at all because I don't want someone like Woodson. There's been some interesting picks, but I don't think there have been any bad ones. The Forte pick was stupid. It was a reach, and there were much better players available in Sweed, or even Brohm. Honestly once Mendenhall slipped, I wouldve packaged some picks together and moved back into the 1st round to grab him. I hate the fact we havent taken a QB yet either. they wanted forte, i mean for god sakes the titans took chris johnson in the first round. if you want the guy get him.. i am upset they havent tried to get another starter on the line. They could have waited on Forte, there was no reason to pick him with that pick. Hell if you want him that bad move up after that pick and take him. I disagree, Forte probably would have been gone by the third round
