    I can't even imagine them losing this game tonight. It can't happen. I wasn't prepared for this amount of nervousness by the second game. It appears since Versus won't be showing the whole Hawks game, it won't be blacked out on CSNC.

    What I saw of that PHX/DET game today was insane. And obviously enjoyed the outcome, though I'm suddenly concerned about Phoenix down the road. Especially if Aucoin is going to play like he has.

    That's how I was looking at it too. Didn't see much hope for next season without him.

    It's only our second year in the playoffs with this current group, but I wouldn't be surprised if the fans just feel a bit of complacency about the first couple rounds. As if things don't really get serious until we get to the CF. Nevermind that it might not happen.

    Was Chris Young there too? That's what this feels like. Losing to some [expletive] team with no [expletive] history and no business even existing.

    They had that 2-1-2 forecheck broken for the entire middle part of the game and were starting to dominate. I don't know what clicked and they turned back to clearing the zone like assholes, but that's got to change. I'm very disappointed, but I have no concern about their ability to win in Nashville. So just win Sunday night.

    Strikes me Buff isn't the sharpest guy. You're not gonna get a lot of nuance through to him. He did take that one penalty against Vancouver when he punched (I think it was) Willie Mitchell in the mouth. And he did do a lot of hitting and loved roughing up Luongo. Other guys are going to have to step that up, no doubt, in the offensive zone if he stays on the back end. Versteeg, Bolland, that means you.

    No kidding. I have to leave work early this afternoon for a doctor's appointment, but after that I'm going to have to find something to do to pass the time. Maybe even yardwork. Yikes.

    That's a good point about Buff. But if I need to balance the value of Buff in front of the net vs. Hendry not playing, Buff stays on the blue line. And wtf is wrong with Kim Johnsson?!????!?!?!

    Thoughts from Sassone about what to do if/when Campbell returns: http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/3829 For me, you leave everything as it has been over the last two weeks, just sub out Hendry for Campbell. Yes, that leaves Sopel to pick up the pieces after Campbell's inevitable stupid plays, but they need to keep the chemistry going from the last 10 games as much as possible.

    Since mid-october? LOL, that's basically the beginning of the season. :-)) 11 hours. Too geeked up for the first game. Need to pace myself.

    I hope they put Sori up on the jumbotron so the Cubs and White Sox fans can boo him. Just one of those random thoughts: do you guys think Hawks fans are more White Sox or Cubs fans? For some reason I think Sox, but that's not based on anything but my own observations. Also, interesting night last night. If you call Detroit the favorite in that 4/5 matchup, which I think most would, all the dogs won last night. And I'll bet The Shark Tank is pissing in the pool (again) right now.
