  1. Wow, how did he hit that out? That was impressive.
  2. what happened Mike hit a line drive up the middle that should have been a single but it took a hard bounce off the pitcher's leg basically right to A-Gon.
  3. At the time the Bradley signing was seen as a no-brainer by pretty much anyone. It's still very likely that that ends up being a very good signing. Trading DeRosa for max value was a smart move. Whether he actually got max value is certainly up for debate. Not signing Wood was, whether people like it or not, a good move. That's way too much to pay for a closer with that kind of injury history. Gregg is obviously not the ideal person to have, but he's likely to be serviceable and he's also likely to net the Cubs 2 picks after this season. Obviously nowhere near being the ideal offseason, but it wasn't the worst.
  4. Damn. At least they're actually getting guys on base.
  5. I'm surprised at how good Sori's numbers (albeit limited) are against Peavy.
  6. I guess God hates you. Wow Im shocked you have a smartass comment. Completely unexpected It would be like me being surprised that you're wallowing in melodramatic misery yet again.
  7. Seems like a silly thing to retaliate over on the Padres' part. Z is clearly all over the place, and why would the Cubs even want to hit Eckstein? If they were going to plunk anyone on purpose A-Gon is the only one worth doing it to.
  8. Z's got some good sliders going tonight. He's gotta reign in his higher pitches to get guys to swing at them, though.
  9. No, but I didn't expect this either. Shouldn't be surprising at all given Z's history of often being shaky or worse after coming back from missing starts and how he can worked up.
  10. Nice! Z k's Gonzalez swinging with a 96 MPH fastball.
  11. I'm going to assume you guys are all joking and weren't seriously expecting Z to be sharp in his first start back from the DL.
  12. Funny you should say that, as I post my opinions, and eveything you say seems to be in a matter of fact type of way. We get it. you're edgy. you're sarcastic, but when it comes to this type of situation, you dont know anymore than I do or any of these other people who you so enjoy talking down to. I think I'm "edgy" because I don't spaz out on a message board over complete conjecture?
  13. Just keep acting like you have the slightest shred of a clue as to what is going on in the Cubs' front office right now. Toss in another Jake Fox plug while you're at it, too.
  14. For all we know this could be happening. Axelrod mentions on the podcast that since December everything has been much more private. There is discussions right now but it will not be publicized. Who knows if those discussions are with the Cubs or not, but one thing Im sure of is none of know for sure what is going on behind the scenes. God knows Hendry isnt doing anything else worthwhile. i bet he's just sitting around eating donuts lololol God knows LLF has no clue what he's talking about.
  15. Works for me. I was pissed none of his starts were being skipped at this point. Anything that gives him more rest without it being his shoulder or elbow is OK by me.
  16. They're talking about him only being able to finally start basic rehabbing baseball-wise by mid-June, not actually being ready to play. I'm not expecting him back until August.
  17. dude Mojo can predict the future I am a sorcerer.
