    The sad thing is, if Jacque Jones hit 60 HRs and was given nightly curtain calls he would still never like the Cubs. For some reason, the Cubs fans just hated him like no other Cubs. Think about all of our bad FAs signings, none were ever hated as much as Jacque. The man hit a career high in HRs and was still hated by the Cubs. Not fair, and I feel really bad for the guy because you have to believe that he thinks racism is the reason. Todd Hundley. Put away the race card.

    Hate to say this, but not trading Jones was a huge blessing the last few weeks. It just stinks that it took him so long to figure out to hit the other way.

    Unlike the Cubs, the Cardinals have four guys come up each year and look like Hall of Famers. They signed Tony Womack the year after he stunk for us and he even looked like an all star. jeff weaver, bo hart, fernando tatis, etc. John Rodriguez. Ankiel.... Oh yeah I forgot about j-rod. they have so many of them. What happened to John Rodriguez?? He had his one year of helping them win 20 games, probably went to a new team and he figured out that he was a very average baseball player.

    5 gamer or not, his OPS over the past 7, 14 and 28 days are all bad. The fact that the team has struggled overall isn't an excuse for his lack of productivity. It is a big part of the excuse when Soriano is hurt and Ramirez was out for a while. Edit: Basically I meant that Lee needed to step up lately and has not.
