  1. Morneau with a sham home run derby championship.
  2. I'd yodel in her alps. the old dude threw some really nice ones in the first round. But, he lost it in the second and third.. He threw like 100 pitches.
  3. It's OK. The loser gets to shag Erin Andrews in the dugout.
  4. A couple lines in the dugout and Hamilton will be fine to win this thing
  5. He's the best Jewish athlete since Bill Goldberg. Jason Marquis: *Raises his hand in disagreement* Sandy Koufax....conversation over.
  6. a photographer almost got beheaded.
  7. The sweater puppies look very nice this evening.
  8. Can we just end this now....They just needed to declare this over after Hamilton finished.
  9. How about the cops choking that guy.
  10. Why did we give him to the Reds when we picked him up in the Rule 5 draft? Imagine that guy in right field right now.
  11. Hamilton is just one strong SOB.
  12. I'm very serious. Ted Lilly has not impressed me very much. Yes, he has 9 wins but the guy is a junk balling lefty who has given up an alarming number of homers. Seriously, why stop here? Given Hardens injury history, another starter would not hurt. His name is Rich Hill.
  13. If Ward gets on in the jet stream...Game over.
  14. One of them was Corey....And it was a patented Patterson at bat. Face it guys we are losing a game to both of them today.
  15. It's sort of funny that when he was drafted by the Giants, many teams were questioning his mechanics. He was viewed as an arm injury witing to happen. Now that he has a year an a half (or so) of MLB experience; he is viewed as "the Freak". FWIW I didn't read the SI article, but I heard that it actually goes as far as to praise his mechanics. It looks like a lot of his power comes from his long stride. His wind up is looks more lower body and less arm. doesn't matter where his power comes from, the transfer of kinetic energy from legs to arm still puts a tremendous amount of strain on the shoulder and elbow. you're not saving any strain on your ligaments and rotator cuff by using your legs more than your arm, you're just saving strain on your muscles. besides, in order to throw 90 mph, you have to throw with your legs, there's simply not enough muscle in your arm to attain that speed. Arms are not made to throw things at 90+ MPH.
  16. From the shocking department. Patterson K's on a low and outside slider.
