Even an irrational meatball such as myself realizes this was our first series loss in a few weeks... unfortunate that it had to be a sweep. This slide would have to last another 1.5-2 weeks to be considered a collapse, and the 2nd half Cubs have inspired enough confidence to believe that's not going to happen. Yes I realize this is an offbeat post from me.

4 straight home losses after 6 wins in a row. Even though the Cubs have had a solid 2nd half, the inconsistency of the 2017 club has been unbelievable.

The Brewers aren't going anywhere. Their pitching took a blow losing Nelson but Anderson and Davies are solid pitchers. The Cubs are gonna have to earn it.

Someone on the non-Cubs game thread was calling me an idiot but I still think the Cardinals win the division. I stopped listening to probability sites when the election happened. We have the best team on paper, but when they've been bad this year, they've been brutally bad. Drawing a comparison of sports odds to a political election is just nonsense.

Hopefully we have a comfortable division lead when we go into Milwaukee for 4 at the end of the month.
