What a train wreck.

At least Marmol and Marshal has shown some sort of talent and poise. Hill has no poise, walked the world, and just was flat out awful with a 9 ERA. era of 5 = talent and poise era of 9 = flat out awful got it. Oh c'mon! I'm not going to sit here and bring out all the stats of every start of these pitchers. You watch the games as much as I do, if you can honestly say that Hill has impressed you, then knock yourself out. hill's 100+ AAA innings have been nothing short of amazing. that's impressed me. i'm not foolish enough to make a judgment based on a few bad big league innings. I can give you a list of 1000s of minor league pitchers who was lights out in the minors and complete faluires in the Majors.

If Hill was struggling a "Little" he'd still be pitching in the Bigs.

I think todays performence was actually good. The Defense and the Offense let him down in a big time way today... nine baserunners (though one hit should have been an out) in 4+ innings isn't very good. How many base runners have Radke had today? Are you saying he's not impressive also today?

I have no problem with Hill coming up and see what he can do. You might as well see if he can compete in the Majors. I'm just saying I haven't seen anything that would make me believe he can be a good ML Starter, while Marmol and Marshall have.

As much as people here have been drooling over Marshall, his numbers have not been all that good this season. He's handled himself well, all things considered, but I don't think he's proven much more than any other pitching prospect in this system. I mean, for heaven's sake, his ERA is 4.92 with an away ERA of 6.53! That's just dreadful. We'll he's young...He barely pitched AA ball. Look at Maddux stats his first year... Look, I'm as big of a fan of the young guys and minor leaguers as anyone else on this site, but people around here have weird double standards. Some people have been yapping about how Marmol and Marshall are better than Hill, when in reality I don't think any of those three guys stand out above each other. A number of people on this site seem to be operating under the assumption that Marshall has been performing quite well this season despite evidence to the contrary. There's plenty of promise for the future, but for right now, Marshall has just as much to work on as Marmol and Hill do when it comes to making the necessary adjustments to being a good major league pitcher. Face it, he hasn't had a good season. I don't know why a number of people on here have not accepted that yet. I'd like to see Hill and Guz out there too and trade Maddux and give him a chance to win somewhere. Move Marmol to closer in Iowa and move Dempster to a contender and then call Marmol up. Well I agree with giving Hill and Gooz starts for the rest of the year, but trading Dempster is not wise. Marmol never even tried to close.

Not only that but kids like Murton and Prior has actually regressed under Baker. Where is the coaching?

I was thinking that also. They look like a team that has giving up. You would think after getting DLEE back today would be some kind of spark. You can see it in the players and coaches faces they don't want to even be out there playing...

That ball shouldn't have been dropped to begin with. ya think? he still didn't need to cut it. don't know if it would have got him or not, but there was no need to cut it. He tried to throw out the runner going to second base but his throw was offline. I'm not going to get more upset with Perez when a routine play was botched to start the trouble. I don't fault Perez on this play...Murton is a Major League LF'er making a routine play. My dog could've played that clean.

I just laugh now. The shocking part is Hendry is doing nothing about it? Hey Jim how about unloading some of these players and when are you going to start to fire some of these coaches and the manager.
