  1. Anyone get the feeling that we could go 9 more innings and not score....Feels like May again.
  2. and bravo to you if you are right. seriously, what else is to be gained by posting this over and over? I posted it twice...
  3. Can someone poke one out? Someone has to get lucky sometime.
  4. if we had a "dumb post of the week" thread, this would definitely make it Week? I'm calling for the year!
  5. giving up already? come on man, don't you at least want to put up a fight? have you seen his posts. This is about par for the course. The only player that tries on this team is Ryan Theriot. Keep'em coming...
  6. giving up already? come on man, don't you at least want to put up a fight? You can't score 1-2 runs a game and expect to win a World Series. It's just pathetic. World Series? Easy tiger...Let's get sole position of 1st place first.
  7. I'm still amazed at the lack of Home-Runs.
  8. Why even swing the bat? Just take pitches and hopefully you get a walk.
  9. he's mentally weak...what do you expect? That and his mental weakness spreads to his teammates, thus no run support.
  10. Exactly Ryan was "benched" to get his swing back because Lou said his bat was getting slow. Not because of him being in the doghouse like Cedeno, Murton, Pie. It seems as if once a young player gets in Lous doghouse there is no coming out of it, but a Veteran gets his chance to work his way out of it. Cedeno wouldnt be on the team if Lou didn't want him. Pie wasn't in the doghouse he didn't hit. YES! When he was hitting he was penned into the 2-hole. It was when he went cold (and looked clueless) that he lost playing time.
  11. Why? Marshall and Hill will be fine. Don't worry about it. But Marquis wont, so there is reason to have concern about our rotation. Show me a team in the NL that doesn't have at least 1 or 2 question marks in their rotation? There are better options than Marquis starting is my point. With where the Cubs are at right now in the race, they cant afford to be giving a game away every 5 days. Who? Gallagher That's an option, but he wasn't tearing it up in middle relief. His 5.73 era with a 5/8 K/BB wasn't too impressive. The point being every team going is going to have question marks in their rotation. Not many teams have studs 1-5.
