  1. Dude just turned himself in to CPD
  2. You have keen eyes. They played a report on the radio earlier stating that security did indeed detain the wrong guy, and the guy who threw the beer walked away. The report went on to say that the Cubs will issue a photo of the guy--with the help of the CPD and hope to prosecute him to the fullest extent possible. We noticed this right away. It's pretty sad that the game was an afterthought to me. That was pretty damn embarrassing. Never said it wasn't observed right away, (even though someone else disagreed that they got the wrong guy). I guess this was just confirmation that security let the "bad guy" walk.
  3. Cardinals and Dodgers are said to be the most interested, though both are waiting until he clears I thought he already did clear. No? Yeah, he cleared waivers. At this point, he'll either be traded or released. I guess the big source of concern is his 35k a day roster bonus for being on the active roster. The ESPN article said the Cards and Rangers are interested. All roster bonuses are voided if he is traded or released. Hmm. Ken Rosenthal seems to suggest that the bonuses are the main issue, unless he's released. I also saw an article, (from a Texas paper, IIRC) which seem to suggest the Rangers would need financial relief from the bonuses if Smoltz was indeed traded to the Texas. http:// http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/9922760/Smoltz-refuses-move-to-minors;-two-options-left

  6. Decider-in-chief
  7. Move Baker or Fox to 1st, use Miles and Fontenot in the middle and Fuld in the corner.
  8. I'm hoping someone Kenny Williams some of the Cubs' bad contracts.
  9. Lilly next week, if all goes accordingly. Z will throw off flat ground soon
  10. Nah, he's angry Lou lately. I'm sure he'll yell at them.
  11. Bob points out the inequalities of the strike zone.
  12. Geez... they have to stop at frist base once before it's a cycle !! Touche, touche
  13. Two cycles against one team, in the same week? I think so
  14. I can't imagine what this will be like in two years.
  15. Cubs should have taken Kontos in the 5th, instead of the shark
