I have just been lurking here at work, but does anyone take into account that DeRosa is not only starting for the Indians but hitting like .150 as a starting 3B for $4.75 million. It's not like they are getting a whole lot of value out of that trade right now either. Not that I wouldn't want to still have him, but is it possible we sold high for once? I mean we'd be tearing Aram a new one if he was hitting .150 with like 1 RBI.

+1...or really plus a couple. I hope she keeps her roll as more of a "host/reporter" than an analyst type as the couple of times I've heard her try to break down a game or something she's way off.

Anyone else have trouble with WGN's HD??

Okay...that's the deal and that blows, and yes all appropriate HDMI cables, etc. are connected. -
Okay...now usually I am just a lurker here, but I have a question that I haven't seen addressed. We bought a new Philips 1080i HDTV a few months ago, partially to watch Cubs games in HD. So I flip on the Brewers game the other day and the picture looks terrible, almost worse than the regular def. TV we had. I cycled through all the possible settings I can think of and nothing was better than anything else. Now we don't have WGN on the HD tier of our cable system (Cox Cable in Oklahoma City), but the game is advertised as being broadcast in HD where available and the game yesterday on ESPN looks fantastic. Are the WGN games really being broadcast in HD? Am I missing something or do I have a setting off? Am I the only one with this problem? Any info would be appreciated.

If you recall, we had a closer--JoBo was supposedly healthy and was strong in Spring Training. Assuming you did not want to hand Jobo the job, which trade/FA signing did you want Hendry to make? I can't think of a single signing or deal that went down that worked out better than Dempster. Of all the things wrong with the Cubs, closer is not one of them. -

I disagree with that. Anything but a sweep is acceptable at Busch. The key is the PIT series and the SF series, we HAVE to win both of those series. -
I'm a huge Sandberg collector and will be unable to attend the induction. So I have put together a little Ryne Sandberg goodie pack that I will give to someone who will volunteer to get me any of the free stuff they give out at the ceremony or at other points in the weekend. By this I mean ticket stubs, programs, brochures, postcards, promo items, and other misc. ephemera. I also want a few hi-res good quality photos that would be framable. I will cover shipping and whatnot. Anyone willing to help or in search of a certain Ryno item please PM me.
