  1. It's nice to know that Iguchi/Burrell/Rowand can get hits against other teams besides the Cubs.
  2. anybody got any stats to show that Braun isn't this good? please.
  3. 6-0 and counting. Phillies being 2 hit
  4. stop the presses Ryan Braun has homered. He's going to catch Prince soon
  5. I think so in the first series after the ASB, but no matter what has happened positively in the past I'm going to assume crappy left = doom for the foreseeable future. Wandy also has pretty drastic home/road splits.
  6. Looking at upcoming pitching match up from ESPN .com Brewers Vargas @ Fogg Capuano @ Hirsh Gallardo @ Francis Bush @ Jennings Suppan @ Albers Vargas @ Rodriguez (ESPN.com doesn't have this but those would be the next in line) Cubs Hill @ Rodriguez Marshall @ Williams Zambrano @ Oswalt Lilly @ Jimenez Marquis @ Cook Hill @ Fogg Marshall @ Hirsh (Again my prediction based on next in line Thoughts, We miss Francis and he faces the Brewers but the Brewers have their best starter going against him. While the Brewers miss Oswalt, we've got our best pitcher going that night too, and one who has shown complete dominance over the Astros. Sadly facing Wandy scares me even more so at home where he actually has pretty good numbers, on the other hand is there any doubt he's going to get completely abused by the Brewers?
  7. Yeah I take that quote as he's ready to sign, but there is no sign that that contract is being presented to him. Which is depressing.
  8. Well he said that because the New York Media were asking him. I'm sure if the Dodgers were in town or the Cubs were in LA, he'd the same about the Dodgers if asked if he'd play there if he didn't get a contract with the cubs.
  9. According to Cubs.com notes Acosta is reporting to AZ today (Sunday) and starting on Monday.
  10. And he's recovering from a shoulder surgery right now. Last I read they are hoping to get him back from the bullpen before the end of the season.
  11. If i'm remembering correctly, Clement was having a lot of back problems near the end of the '04 season and was pretty ineffective and even lost his rotation spot to Glendon Rusch at the end. [ahh Flames beat me]
  12. I'm pretty sure he is out of baseball as well, he's not on the Phillies 40 man. Remlinger is retired too.
  13. yikes. Anybody else hear Modzilla stirring up from a slumber?
  14. how about http://www.rexgrossmanisnottheantichrist.com ? I always liked Midway Football, but UberGoober used that.
  15. DOPE-SLAP and Harvey Bomb on the same day, say it ain't so!
  16. Can you imagine if Griffey could have been healthier and if he somehow would have approached 755 at the same time as Bonds. That would have been Sosa/Mac x 100000. And this race would have had a natural "good guy" vs. "bad guy". The only difference is after it was attained there would have been no natural finish line, it would have been who could extend their career the longest. Definitely would have been fun.
  17. 1 more and the madness can end
  18. If Hill isn't going to be Z's personal catcher no matter what, there is absolutely no reason for him to be in the big leagues and Soto not to be.
  19. Shouse comes in with a guy on 2nd and no outs and holds them at 5.
  20. Bush out after 5+
  21. back to back doubles 5-1!!
  22. We're their Cardinals (I think).
  23. loved Riot's response to if he was out or safe :D
