    I was at the Cubbie Bear during the game... honestly the funnest I've had during a Cubs game. Let's have more days like today. Raisin, I drank a couple extra for you since you made fun of me for not going last year :D.

    oh for pete's sake. these guys are professional baseball players, there was absolutely no reason for any of them to be in Houston when the hurricane went through. Evacuate their families and await instructions, they would have been just as ready to go as the Cubs were. I'm also sure the people of Houston and everywhere else affected by Ike appreciate these well to do baseball players wearing shirts proclaiming "Bud killed us".

    Wow, I thought from the get go Lou was set on 3 and done. And he was going to be done with baseball (at least putting on a uniform side of things). I was just going to make a post wondering if anybody else thought that IF the Cubs won the World Series that he would retire. Winning the World Series with the Cubs, is there really anything to do after that? ... But then again I'd want to stay around Chicago for a while after that was accomplished if I was him imagine the free drinks, steaks, first born sons etc. you'd be given if you led the Cubs to a World Series.

    What stops them from clinching Friday? I'm guessing he means on the field, they sweep they clinch on the field on thursday they lose the next two they can't clinch at all on Friday they win 1 lose 1, the brewers have a night game (I think) so they would only clinch after the fact.
