Is the foregoing of the posting process, and just having the winner pay the $20 million after it's over just because it was obvious several teams were going to bid the max? All foreign players going through this posting process aren't going to cost $20 million right? There will be lesser prospects that will still go through the bidding process and one team will win with a $5 million bid or whatever, right? -
yeah I don't see the reward either, Bears or Packers are going to get destroyed the next week.

So is that the new thing in special teams, have your onside kick line up set up so you have no chance to recover. The Browns one looked terrible and we know how the Bears is.

I think my nightmare scenario is Bears finish this one, win next week, Lions lose 1 of the next two, and then Bears lose to Packers at home and Lions win their last game sending the Bears home with tiebreaker with a 9-7 record

They should have made it where the Japanese team gets the posting fee from all teams in case of a tie with the winning bid, it keeps the Japanese teams happy for windfall players like Tanaka and it keeps teams from bidding the $20 million with no intention of being serious about signing.
