  1. He hit it in a hole and the second basemen made a good play.
  2. Lawton would've scored on Lee's double if Lawton was safe at 1st.
  3. Probably his Pirates helmet and he wanted to keep it.. thus he had it re-painted... (Just a guess?) The C on the Cubs helmet isnt painted on, its actually applied on seperately. Yea, I'm pretty sure it's just a sticker... (or something like that) So he probably kept his Pirates helmet, had it painted blue/red, and hasnt gotten the sticker yet?
  4. ??? Lawton grounds out :( When Lawton was batting, it showed the bases were loaded.

  6. Agreed. I say, Iowa. He has proved he can play in the majors and since he wont get much playing time, Iowa is the best option. I expect him to be called up in September.
  7. BOY! What an argument I can cause just by bumping a topic
  8. True. He is hittible. He is also 5-9 with 5.45 ERA. Or in other words, he will own the Cubs.
  9. Feel your pain. Doing absolutely nothng today.
  10.        Wow. So I guess you're saying pitching really does matter.... When you have an offense like Cubs do, yes.. a pitcher REALLY matters.. Especially on a system built around starting pitching.
  11. I always wanted to do this.. but never found the right time.. until now. http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/1796/hawksux3kk.jpg
  12. I guess there goes the 2005 Playoffs for the Giants?..
  13. Exactly. I don't follow the logic. He wasn't hitting MLB pitching, so you send him down to AAA. He's not hitting AAA so then you bring him back up? :-s Well, IMO, MLB hitting/pitching has a lot to do with knowing the guy you're facing. I dont know if they do that in the minors.. but the main goal to send him down was for him to shorten his swing (which he probably has) and make other minor adjustments. C-Patt is 5 for his last 13 and the Cubs are probably expecting him to start improving enough in the next 7-10 days that he shreds the ball, enough to be called up.
