It's really depressing. We're already 8 games back, and it really does look out of reach, now. I'm sure most of us have started seeing a Wild Card possibility, because it doesnt look too good in the central.. -
i sure hope so...i gotta drive back to IWU and i dont want to be angry on the ride back Would really hate to get swept.

Is that what the payroll is now...good god that is pathetic. This year the payroll is about $100 million. The Payroll topic in Transaction says $113.58 mil... That includes Wood, Prior, and Rusch, though. -

May also be a great day to get Daryle Ward some playing time, especially for offensive reasons. May be a good day to give Blanco some playing time, also... Both him and Barrett look okay against him. It may be tough to shuffle the outfield, tomorrow. Each of Floyd, Jones, Ward have success against Jon.... and I dont think Lou will take out Soriano. Philadelphia Phillies Vs. How many games have we just flat out gave away? It's has to be at least 8 games. If we just won half of those we would be in good shape. I don't even know what to say anymore. It's the same thing year after year. hmm... i would say 4/5 Cincinnatti, 4/13 Cincinnatti, 4/18 Atlanta, 4/20 St. Louis, 4/23 Milwaukee, 4/30 Pirates, 5/8 Pirates, 5/12 Phillies all these games minus the 4/13 Cinci game the cubs were winning at some point in the seventh inning. the cinci game they had a 5-0 lead for Big Z so that counts too....the brutal part is they rallied from deficits in three of these games...so i'd say you are right on with your prediction of 8 games that the cubs flat out gave away...mostly thanks to that pre-seaason strength of theirs, bullpen pitching... :roll: I was at that game. Man, did that suck. Yeah, I can easily come up with many games we let slip by off the top of my head.. and that's sad...
