Whenever possible, it looks like he’s going to have the same three hitters atop his lineup throughout 2023. Hear me out: Do those guys have just a whiff of the top of the 1984 Cubs order to them? With so many moving parts and matchup guys popula...11Tue, 28 Mar 2023 15:00:53 +0000https://northsidebaseball.com/news-rumors/chicago-cubs/the-nico-hoerner-extension-is-less-than-we-dreamed-but-more-than-it-seems-r10/The Cubs and Nico Hoerner agreed on a contract extension on Monday night. Nico Hoerner was already under the Cubs’ control through 2025, and he an...10Tue, 28 Mar 2023 12:14:22 +0000https://northsidebaseball.com/news-rumors/chicago-cubs/cubs-hoerner-agree-to-3-year-35-million-extension-r9/The Chicago Cubs have locked up their second baseman, Nico Hoerner, for the next three years. The deal buys out one year of free agency.  The 2023 season will be Nico Hoerner's fifth season in the big leagues. He won't turn 26 for about six weeks.
