I think they give him one kick. Shank it and he’s done.

So then you don’t have a kicker the rest of the game? They’re fools if they don’t sign a new kicker before Sunday.

True. I guess it would depend on if they think their punter can make kicks.

The league snubbed Tunsil on an All Pro nod, big obvious one in the league it seems with multiple players outside the Houston org calling it out. Coincidentally he’s been very open about wanting big money

Me too! Especially considering Jax should have covered the number earlier but fumbled inside the 5 yard line.

LOL. As if McCarthy didn’t mismanage the end of that Dallas game bad enough, that wacky formation at end that was completely stuffed was the chef’s kiss. Death, taxes, and the Cowboys [expletive] the bed in January.

Schultz made two mistakes, obviously, but Dak made a mistake not clocking it at the 17 second mark. Instead, he hurried a deep throw pass out of bounds to stop the clock at 10 seconds. That play took 7 seconds instead of maybe 1 to two seconds.

On the last play, I would've thrown a 10 yard out to the bottom of the screen. The WR has two blockers and SF is playing about 25 yards off the LOS. That would've put the ball between the 35 and 40, probably with 1-2 seconds left. And Dak should be able to Hail Mary the EZ from there. Instead, the tried that last gasp catch and a thousand laterals that literally went nowhere.

Bad clock management (shocker, right).

Assuming Mahomes goes next week, the starting quarterbacks’ ages in the conference championship games will be 27, 26, 24 and 23.

Without looking it up, I’m assuming that’s the youngest combined age in a long, long time, if not ever.

It is the youngest in at least 50 years, the closest is 1996-97 with 27 (Favre), 26 (Brunell), 24 (Collins), 24 (Bledsoe)

The AFC seems like it's set up for another run similar to 2003-2018 where Brady, Manning or Roethlisberger won the conference every year except for the year when Joe Flacco played like a HOFer for 4 games. Those three had 22 of the 32 AFC title game appearances too.

Things can obviously change but Mahomes, Burrow and Allen aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Those three have combined for all 6 AFC Champ apps the last three years, 7 in 4 years and 8 in 5 (Tannehill in 19 and Brady in 18).

The NFC Super Bowl team will either have the youngest (Purdy) starting QB in Super Bowl history or the 6th youngest (Hurts).

Yeah, I'm going to guess this will be similar. I kind of feel bad for the rest of the QBs in the AFC, because the conference is loaded with young talent.

Herbert- does he repeat Philip Rivers and be good, but always on the outside looking in?
Jackson- if he stays, he's on one of the best run, well coached organizations in the sport
Tua- he's shown what he can do when healthy and has weapons
Pickett- may never be great, but his coach has never had a losing season, so he will get his shots
Lawrence- a better prospect than all of them, now has good coaching, but tough place to win

And that doesn't include young guys like Watson (who has a passing title last time he played a full season) or the 1-2 picks in the draft that will potentially be QBs in Indianapolis and Houston or potentially the Jets if they can somehow make something out of Zach Wilson.

On the NFC side of thing, there’s an avenue there for Fields to be one of the top 2 QBs in the conference as early as next year and for the foreseeable future if he can take another step up in development and the Bears can get him some help.

Feel like the Purdy injury helped his stock. People were saying Purdy wasn’t that good and it was just the system. I get it Josh Johnson is a journeyman QB who hasn’t been relevant in years and did not prep with the starters this week. But Purdy was Mr. Irrelevant and as a rookie led an admittedly talented and well coached team to the conference title game. He’s definitely something. Maybe not a good QB on another team but a decent one

If the Bengals can win this somehow, I'd be VERY live to win a large amount of money in two weeks. Fingers double crossed.
