Two different kinds of instant karma on that one... Lost the game and probably tore his ACL when his leg planted afterwards

I would be alright with never hearing Tony Romo call a game again. He is insufferable.

I only saw the end of the game, but the questionable calls looked mostly right to me. The grounding call was right, imo. The shove out of bounds at the end had to be called. Was it earlier in the game where you disagree?

This game cemented the Chiefs into my "hate" group. I hope the whole team gets COVID next week.

Mahomes hurt, down to their 4th and 5th receivers, but time after time they either get lucky or get iffy ref calls. The fix was in

The Chiefs were getting calls all game and away with things and the 49ers absolutely got horsefeathers in their game too. Maybe the outcomes end up being the same but the Eagles and Chiefs got a lot of help.

The Eagles were going to win anyway once Purdy went down and then especially when the backup went down too.

If you would have told me in 2018 after I watched Jalen Hurts get benched at halftime of the National Title Game because he went 3-8 for 21 yards that he would be the quarterback of a team in the Super Bowl I would have...

-not believed you
-asked if you meant running back rather than QB
-asked if 2 other QBs on the roster got hurt
-stood in stunned silence

He didn't even average 150 passing yards per game that season and only completed 60 percent of his passes.

It was complicated. It was a playoff-best-ball contest on Underdog. My team advanced to the finals, but without the Bengals in the Super Bowl, I've got no shot at the 200K first prize. If the Bengals had won, my team would have been one of the favorites to win it.

Should be a good SB. Chiefs opened at -1 now its Eagles-2.

Chiefs won't be able to get to Hurts like they did Burrow. I think Eagles win 27-24

I know officiating in the Chiefs/Bengals game is going to be talked about for a while, but lets not forget that the officiating was probably worse in the Niners/Eagles game. It didn't matter as much because the Niners didn't have a QB for half the game, but the Niners got screwed over and over again with questionable calls.

In the Chiefs/Bengals game, the officiating was still bad, but it's probably going to be overblown. There were not holds on the Mahomes scramble. That was clearly a late hit out of bounds. There WERE blocks in the back on the punt return to set it all up though. The 3rd down thing was an absolute mess (and the subsequent defensive holding call), but there was sky cam of the official trying to stop the play. The Chiefs were the better team yesterday, IMO. If Mahomes doesn't have a ball just slip out of his hands, the Chiefs were probably going up 2 scores to start the 4th quarter. I think it would've been basically over then.

I bet on Hurts right after that season. He stayed at Bama and sat the bench behind Tua, despite being 27-2 as a starter and leading his team to consecutive national championship games (won 1, which obviously Tua took over). He then went to Oklahoma and put up a Heisman level season. He was just a guy I never counted out as an NFL QB. I thought he might be a 6th round pick and mostly a career backup who becomes a head coach after his playing career, but I knew he would have success on some level in the NFL. From all accounts, just a really good dude, who I wished all the success in this league.

Man I wanted the Bears to draft him in the 2nd as competition and possible replacement for Trubisky. Basically exactly what Eagles did first few years where he was an option, but they hedged along the way.

Instead we got the Foles hedge.

Of course I'm happy with situation with Fields too, but even something like that was still possible. Imagine a Fields-Hurts QB room - ha.

All credit to him for putting in the work. It’s a hell of a transformation. In addition to what you mentioned, the following season when Tua took over, Hurts also came on in the SEC title game when Tua got hurt and led a pair of TD drives to help them beat Georgia.

Probably the first time he's parented his actual kids instead of his athletes.

Congrats to Tyler Huntley on making the Pro Bowl following a 658 yard, 2 TD, 3 INT season!

Really weird. Obviously lots of injuries, but I'd put Brisset before Huntley still (looks like Lawrence is getting alternate nod too, which he should)
