It’s good news so I choose to believe it’s accurate.

Re: Blackhawks rebuild 2.0
It's better for the Blackhawks to trade Kane but whatever. At least fans can enjoy Kane and possibly Toews instead of having to root for the Blackhawks version of Frank Schwindel and Rafael Ortega

Davidson got another 1st rounder, signing Max Domi.

What? Fleeing? Who has left that the Blackhawks didn’t openly push out the door?

Just saying that I'm seeing a lot of Blackhawks signing with other teams today. Maybe not significant players

Literally guys they didn’t offer qualifying contracts to or otherwise traded previously. There has been nobody they wanted to sign that left. They are trying to get guys to flee on their own.

Re: Blackhawks rebuild 2.0
how does the Cap situation work if the Hawks trade Kane or Toews? If the Hawks retain half of their salary or so, do they retain half the cap hit as well? Its been so long that the Wings have been relevant or have cap issues I have completely lost track of how it works. But If the Hawks were to retain some or a lot of Kanes salary and cap hit, I would imagine he would get quite the haul in return if they trade him sooner rather than later

Pretty certain they retain the cap hit in that situation
https://www.capfriendly.com/faq#retained
When a team trades a player, they have the option to retain a part of their salary (and cap hit). The team who retains the salary then pays the retained percentage of the salary, and also retains the percentage of the cap hit until the contract expires

Eddie O is leaving the Blackhawks to be the Kraken color guy. From what I saw on Twitter it sounds like the Blackhawks did not renew his contract and that’s why he’s leaving. If so, very strange decision

ok then, I guess what I saw was ultimately wrong. I don't blame him for leaving after the stuff that happened off the ice plus the beginning of what appears to be a long gut rebuild. Though Seattle is an interesting choice.

The Hawks lowballed Eddie O and he said he’d look elsewhere. I guess they don’t want to pay anyone, even great color analysts.

Every team in this city is run by a bunch of incompetent horsefeathers. I mean pretty much all owners are horsefeathers but some of them are competent. Not in Chicago

Maybe they will stop using Chelsea Dagger as their goal scoring song
