Haven't they done similar with F1? Sports with an interested demographic that skews rich, white and conservative isn't all that surprising is it? They can let those types do their "what abouts" and "it's their money" arguments for them to normalize it.

It’s not just sports. The saudis know the current socio-political situation in the US and how conservatives (who don’t hold the White House, senate, or house, but still have managed to control the country despite that) will latch onto LIV because of its destiny as a grievance culture war thing.

Now the saudis are endearing themselves to the power party while also playing into the political divide. And all it cost them was money that they have an unlimited supply of. Nice gig

These LIV guys horsefeathering suck. Knew lawsuits were coming but their main talking point was “The PGA sucks, doesn’t compensate us well enough and makes us play to much so we’re going to a league to play less and make more.” Now they want to play more golf/still have access to the PGA.
