Yeah, I'm...curious for sure.

The big twist is that this time he's "homaging" New York, New York instead of The King of Comedy.

I had a five hour drive yesterday and was thinking of these two questions:

1) What movie can you not believe you haven't made time to watch?
2) What movie surprises other people that you haven't watched it?

For me, I'd have to say #1 would be Spinal Tap. I was the perfect age for this to have been on repeat, but somehow never made time for it.

I guess I'd go with Titanic for #2 because I think I'm the only person I know that hasn't seen it at some point, though it isn't really the kind of movie that normally excites me.

1. Any of the Godfather movies. I even grabbed a cheap box set so I have them accessible on demand, but the runtime always talks me out of it.

2. I didn't really watch non-kids movies until I was well into high school, so even though I've made up for lost time there's lots of older movies that my peers have seen that I haven't. Top Gun, Titanic, Edward Scissorhands, all the Terminators, etc

If you get COVID again (god forbid) you should watch the first two recut in chronological order. Don't bother watching the thrid one, it will only make you angry.

OK I would have said there was nothing you could possibly put into a sentence that would make me intrigued by the possibility of a Joker sequel, but damn was I wrong.

I know, my reasoning is that he's obviously not into the hype surrounding the movies, so this is an interesting way to watch the movies.

I would have had so many more candidates for these questions if they were asked in 2019, but I’ve dedicated far too much of my time to filling these gaps. A few off the top of my head…

1) Prisoners / The Favourite / Cinema Paradiso / Singin’ in the Rain
2) Beetlejuice / Edward Scissorhands / Face/Off

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

https://www.rollingstone.com/movies/mov ... m-1372295/

Ezra Miller has been hosting a 25-year-old mother and her three young children at their Vermont farm, a living arrangement that worries the children’s father, as well as two others with knowledge of the situation, Rolling Stone has learned.

Two sources with knowledge of the situation expressed concern to Rolling Stone that it is an unsafe environment for children, alleging there are unattended guns strewn around the home on Miller’s 96-acre property. One source, who, like the other, requested anonymity for fear of retribution, recalled an instance where one of the children — a one-year-old — allegedly picked up a loose bullet and put it in her mouth.

1) Raiders of the Lost Ark. I loved Indiana Jones movies growing up, and we owned Raiders of the Lost Ark on VHS. But the first Indiana Jones movie my parents showed me was Temple of Doom. I thought that was the first one. Every time I scrolled through our small collection of VHS tapes, I'd see "Raiders of the Lost Ark" there. I was so young I had no idea what that was or what it was about. We only had the cassettes, no boxes, so I only ever saw the title. So, in my tiny child mind, because it didn't say "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" and because I thought Temple of Doom was the first Indiana Jones and we had that VHS before that movie came out, I had no idea it was an Indiana Jones movie and, thus, I never watched it, nor did I know Raiders of the Lost Ark was an Indiana Jones movie until I reached high school. I'm at the point where I've seen so many clips, references, etc. from it I pretty much know everything about it so I haven't sat down to watch it in full because I already know what happens in it.

2) See number 1. But also, I've righted a lot of the cinematic wrongs of not having seen the greats as a youth so I can't recall which movie I haven't seen, but I know I didn't watch a lot of them until I was in my mid 30's. The one that comes to mind the most is E.T.. Didn't watch that one until I was like 32. The magic of the movie, which I'm sure would've been immense had I seen it as a child when those effects were cutting edge and mindbending, was lost on me as an adult. There were also so so many other movies that pulled in inspiration and references from that movie that I felt like I had already seen it.

I also still haven't seen Schindler's List. That's a big one.

Raiders is by far the best one, you should watch it. ET is still great.
