I am appropriately embarrassed to admit that I really liked this season of Rick and Morty

Thank you for making me feel less guilty about any shows I may or may not be legally grabbing copies of.

Up late as I just finished binging the last 4 episodes of this, well, let's call it an examination of the creation myth of America. It can be challenging at times, and confusing. But always fascinating, IMO. The performances are killer.

I think we're 3 eps into season 2, and we won't be able to finish until after my Mom leaves town on Wednesday, but I agree. It's been pretty bleh. It's had some moments but not enough.

I am old enough to remember when I thought Letterkenny wasn't terrible. It is such a chore to watch.

I very much disagree. I still love it. Did you watch Shoresy?

I made it nearly half way through the first episode. I'm out on both.

Letterkenny, Corner Gas and Trailer Park Boys are this weird trifecta of Canadian sitcoms beloved by a lot of people I know whose opinions on TV and movies and horsefeathers are usually pretty solid...and I cannot imagine sitting through a single season of any of them without wanting to have a tank roll over my head.

Like, it's great people love them, and I'm not saying they're bad; it's that watching them for me is like how some people's brains are wired to think cilantro tastes like soap. I do not understand the appeal AT ALL.

Honestly, I'm kinda stunned I loved Schitt's Creek as much as I did, seeing as it was yet another Canadian sitcom about smalltown Canadian bumpkins.

Letterkenny is a strange show, and as such I'd suggest giving it a season or 2 to see if it resonates(especially if starting from S1, and the seasons are six 30 min episodes so the time commitment is light). But if someone watched several episodes and said 'not for me' I wouldn't be at all surprised, it's kinda like a sketch show in that its hits are great and its misses are bad. That said, the new season is Season 11, and the formula is pretty well established at this point, so I'm not sure why it would be a chore for folks now if it wasn't before.

Shoresy is quite different than Letterkenny, believe it or not. I mean....it's not like night and day or anything, but Shoresy has an actual continuing plot and character growth. I love Letterkenny, but I think Shoresy is a better show.

I found it mildly amusing until the fartbook episode and then turned off my TV and never was interested again.

Apparently that was episode 3, but I felt like that episode alone was a half season.

I'll never forgive that show for stealing UCB's slot.
