"I’m gonna get a chance to speak on all this -- God willing -- soon. But as I said earlier this week, people, and by the way, my Corvette’s in a locked garage," Biden said. "So, it's not like it’s sitting on the street."

I thought this was a joke paraphrasing by you, until I opened the article.

I had to read it 3 times to make sure it said what I thought it said.

Now it's just getting stupid:

https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/14/politics ... index.html

CNN

President Joe Biden’s aides found five additional pages of classified material at his personal residence in Wilmington, Delaware, on the same day a special counsel was appointed to investigate the matter, the White House announced on Saturday.

That new disclosure marks the latest shift in the total number of documents with classified markings discovered by Biden’s lawyers in a week that has dramatically shifted the trajectory of an administration at the same moment it has raised significant questions about its handling of a legally precarious matter.

That would be a terrible plan, TBH.

Any idea that this is some kind of plot against him is, IMO, just totally silly and unserious. It's his camp that is bringing this forward each time. The stupid part is, like I said before, that this wasn't vetted at least before he ran, and at the very latest before they horsefeathering raid the last guy's home (it looks increasingly moronic to do something of that scale and then charge absolutely nobody with anything).

Agreed that it should’ve been vetted and cleaned up before - and to me most obviously it would’ve been easy. It’s now unneeded noise and baggage

Is the Kyiv attack stuff what’s making gas prices go bonkers?

I don't know what most of that means, but I've seen one local gas station go from $3.17 to $2.87 to $3.59 over the course of a few days

That's like judging climate change on this week's weather.

No, because I’m not asking about long term trends. I’m asking what is happening in the world that is causing some wild short term swings

And what Mojo posted indicates that there's nothing happening in the world that accounts for that. Local gas prices can be influenced by a lot of things that don't equate to world events. Pipeline and delivery issues, tax changes, etc.

In Kane County the gas has been pretty steadily in the $3.10 to $3.30 range for a few weeks now. I got gas for $3.11 last night.

At any given time if you ask me what gas prices are, I'm not confident I can get within 0.50. I'm lucky that I don't drive far for work, so I'm usually filling up weekly and sometimes even less frequently.
