Re: General Chit-Chat thread
Question: can we just chat or should I star a separate thread for that?

Re: General Chit-Chat thread
this is for chit-chat only, chatting should be done in another, more appropriate, thread

Re: General Chit-Chat thread
I'll chit-chat.
I had a random memory pop in my head today. For some reason it popped in my head the memory of when I went to see Mortal Kombat in the theater. When the movie started with that techno theme song, a bunch of people stood up in the theater and started jumping around.

Re: General Chit-Chat thread
The SNES version didn't have any blood; you hit someone and "sweat" flew off of them. All of the fatalities were replaced by "finishing moves" that weren't as violent. The Genesis DID have the arcade fatalities and blood, but you had to put in a code to fully unlock them. Though the SNES version had better graphics, sound and control, IMO. I remember this being very contentious.

That was what I always heard at school, but then again the urban legends surrounding Mortal Kombat were abundant back in those days.

I'm saying that the Sega kids claimed they had more blood but I didn't have any friends that played Sega, so I never saw it for myself.

Man, I ate up horsefeathers like GamePro and EGM back then and this was like their Watergate moment.

Re: General Chit-Chat thread
So a while back I got my hands on a 15 year old S10 for my son. It's a good little ride, mechanically anyway. We just went a little overboard shopping for it, and I'm super excited to get it pulled in the garage this weekend. It's getting a new stereo with 4.6" LCD touch screen, backup camera, LED driving lights, and new speakers. Meanwhile, there are many large holes in the body panels. It's going to be so sweet.

My first video game system was a PS1. My house was not a popular hang-out.
