Backup catcher Harrison Wenson, whom I've never paid attention to prior to tonight, has two home runs tonight. The second of which put Tenn up 3-1 up going into the bottom of the 8th

Bet he’s the first Cub backup catcher to hit a home run in a decisive playoff game.

I wonder if the Cubs have ever had three separate catchers play a role in a decisive playoff game

Neither Canario nor Mervis homered tonight.

This is boring. I'm bored.

Tennessee wins and advances so we should get one more Ben Brown start.

Let's hope he's more impressive than the relievers next time

Was a good story tonight. Drafted by the Angels in 2017. Released last year. Hitting .163 on the year and .188 for his career, and goes 2-3 with the bombs and scored all 3 runs. His 2nd was off the Angels third round pick this year Ben Joyce, who was sitting between 99-102 the whole inning.

Obviously I wish everything was pretty and nice and could be said in a brief mass appeal sentence but, if he walks out healthy this year, think I'll still be optimistic about Kilian moving forward. In the grand scheme he's only in his 3rd full season as a SP, he's spent the vast majority of that time in the upper minors (mostly AA during an excellent 2021, AAA this year with some MLB), this year picked up Ks and got GBs, workloads have been consistent (112, 114, 115) despite constantly moving up fast, sinker and offspeeds have dramatically improved in pro ball, velocity this year was mostly excellent including averaging ~95 for his MLB debut...He'll never be a high volume superdupermegace but I don't think this season eliminated a well rounded SP with more of a power game than in the past so there's that...Not so great this night
