Ohh, not park adjusted. Myrtle Beach is a pitcher-friendly ballpark.

SB too right, or is that just early in the year when it's cold? I think only Iowa is especially hitter friendly, and even it's not crazy like Colorado Springs or some of the former Cal League parks

I think SB (and most of the MWL) is because of the cold.

Colorado Springs no longer has an affiliate. Sky Sox moved to San Antonio. Just an independant league team, the Rocky Mountain Vibes. The Rockies' AAA team is the Isotopes now, and they do play at 5100 ft, so I'm sure it's almost as hitter friendly.

I would love to have age overlaid on this somehow too, or maybe filter out guys more than one year older than each minor league level's respective median.

My guess is that the more context you layer on the better the offensive side of this chart would look for the Cubs. Conversely if you weight performance by prospectiness the Cubs would start sliding more towards middle of the pack on the pitching end.

Sanders to the development list is interesting. Getting him conditioned for relief work, maybe? Aboot that time

Preeeetty excited about Gallardo, just lost his league lead in IP (by 1 to a 22 YO) ln too...Reminder he was already (again) one of the handful youngest SPs in the CARL...One random goal I have is hitting 98 (upper 90s) this year, keeping in mind that he's only gained velocity (found 96 late last year, 97 as the season's gone this year) while logging the kind of innings he has at the levels he has at the ages he has. I'm expecting a more fastball heavy approach than he's had at MB most of the year, more changeups, maybe more sliders and/or harder curves

Two-plus months after a freak injury, Ed Howard is walking again and scheduled to report to the team’s Arizona complex next week to begin a more formal rehab process. Howard, the 2020 first-round pick out of Chicago’s Mount Carmel High School, required season-ending surgery on his left hip after an awkward play during a May 10 game at South Bend, tumbling on a sprint to first base and an attempt to avoid the tag off a wild throw.
