I used to live directly under the final approach pattern in MPLS. I love Denver's airport for no other reason than the fact that it doesn't destroy the living environment of thousands that depend on it and use it the way MSP does

DIA rocks. It takes an hour to walk out of O'Hare much less get downtown. Stop whining and take the train downtown.

the thing I don't like about Denver is the turbulence.

Lol. I double dare anyone to use Google maps and see how long of a drive it is from DIA to downtown. It really is only 30 minutes.

Scenery goes a long way, I suppose. That's about all Colorado Springs has going for it.

Springs is 3 days away if it's snowing on the Palmer Divide.

The endless stream of Colorado exaggerations feels like trolling at this point.

Next thing you're going to tell me is you need to bring your own oxygen tanks to visit the state.

even better if they don't visit

:)

it's clearly trolling. for the record, my drive time from downtown to DIA at rush hour last month was 42 minutes

One of my summer projects is learning some software that I'm long overdue to know/use. The website for the software has hours and hours of tutorial videos (which is great), but the videos were made using the 2018 or 2019 version of the software. I'm using the 2022 version, and there is JUST enough difference to force me to pause the videos every ten minutes to figure out where the menu options have moved or what the icons now look like.

It's a minor rant (these tutorials are free), but it's enough of annoyance to slow me down.

I think you have Colorado confused for Spaceballs. Common error.

They also sell heroin at many locations. What's your point?

I'm all posters at once, both figuratively and literally. I am the pan-poster.

But aside from that, I've got out of towners telling me how long it takes to get from downtown to the airport. What makes them an expert whose take on the commute flies in the face of a simple google map check? He flies a lot.

I've got yet another out of towner pretending they hand you oxygen cans when you touch down. I've literally never seen an oxygen can bought, sold, or consumed for the entirety of my 20+ years in Colorado. But WALMART sells them (appearantly), so they are "everywhere." It's ridiculous. It's a gimmic anyways. Anytime you fly in a plane you're in a greater oxygen-deprived environment than the entire Colorado front range. And the only time you'd actually benefit from doing your best Mel Brooks impersonation is when you are sleeping, so they are useless. My Walgreens does not have oxygen cans. The nearest CVS, which is on the most touristy street in Denver, the 16th street mall, has none in stock.

If taking the bait on this non-sense makes me a Seattle architect, well, now I get why I drink so much.
