  1. What the hell was the point of calling Alcantara up? It didn't help the Cubs, it didn't help him. Weird
  2. My son decided to be obsessed with baseball starting this season, and he has attachment issues so he doesn't want to watch the games alone. I mostly play on my phone during the games but in the past when the Cubs play poorly I just stop watching for a bit and emotionally distance myself. I'm distanced to some degree but not like when I can just ignore the games and check the score.
  3. Agreed. Something has to be changed. I don't care if its not his fault, the clubhouse needs a shakeup and the offense has been piss poor with no injury excuse like the pitching has.
  4. 7 runs scored in 29 innings this series against mostly poor pitching, and 3 of those runs happened after the team was down 13 runs.
  5. Maybe they'll play better but getting to the point where we are what we are and we should all move on with our summers. Really not worth our time watching them lose every series they play.
  6. Can some team please try purposely putting 2 Cubs on base every inning just to see what happens?
  7. Onto the 9th. Will this be the 9th consecutive series the Cubs don’t win (with 8 losses) or will they find a way to walk it off yet again?
  8. This offense doesn’t seem like it’s in any danger of breaking out of this extended slump. Something has to give, they might not be a super elite offense but they are a lot better than they’ve shown the last 5+ weeks
  9. Shota might be able to catch him in HR allowed if he misses a start or two, he’s only 3 HR behind.
  10. Tallion changing it up by allowing his hard contact to remain in the park (so far) (and still landing for hits and runs scored)
  11. I remember his first year it was a little rocky at first (IMO) and thought he was trying too hard to act passionate. Then I realized it wasn’t an act, that dude was enthusiastic as hell about the Bulls and he kept that enthusiasm whether they were 62-20 or 20-62.
  12. This makes me so sad. I would have actually watched a few Bulls games the last couple years if I knew his time was limited. I was really hoping he’d get the chance to call another good Bulls team. It won’t be the same without him.
